GlaxoSmithKline invested US $ 77 million in the production site Singapore
The pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) is investing another US $ 77 million in its antibiotic production plant in Singapore, the only production site of the company for amoxicillin worldwide. Amoxicillin is used as active ingredient in the preparation of antibiotics which are frequently prescribed for the treatment of bacterial infections.
The investment will be used to build an additional downstream isolation ward. This will increase production by 50 percent and help to fulfill the growing demand for antibiotics in the emerging countries. Equal to two engineering companies, we are involved with manually operated and pneumatically operated ball and butterfly valves according to the strict FDA guidelines on this project.
